Preschool

In accordance with the curriculum set by the Department of Education for the preschool level, particularly with its introduction of the Universal Kindergarten Education (DepEd Order No.37 s.2011), PPIS has started using the THEMATIC Approach in its integrated curriculum.

The Thematic Approach is a method of teaching using themes to impart concepts, skills, and values to students. These themes are incorporated into the different academic areas, such as, Math, Science, Reading/Language and Social Studies (Sibika at Kultura) with Bible integration to meet the student’s needs in the following areas – Intellectual/Cognitive, Physical, Socio-Emotional and Spiritual.

Grade School and High School

Our curriculum is based on the K to 12 Curriculum of Department of Education DepEd Order No. 31, s.2012 for Grade 1 to 3 and Grade 7 to 9, in which it is stated that the curriculum should follow the spiral approach across subjects. The curriculum has been implemented starting with the Grade 1 and Grade 7. To meet the primary objectives of PPIS, there will be Bible integration on different subjects to ensure that students may develop not only intellectually but also emotionally and spiritually.
